More idiosyncrasies and differences between Sweden and the UK

A quick explanation of Snuff  (Snus) in case you're unaware. Snuff is an addictive stimulant made of tobacco containing nicotine. Snuff  is a moist packet (imagine a tobacco teabag the size of a piece of chewing gum) that you wedge between your lip and teeth.
 
On the eve of our family holiday to NY a member of our family (no name mentioned but begins with A)  confessed to using snuff (we would likely have found out being on a holiday for a week) , disgusting habit!

Let me share some idiosyncrasies and differences between Sweden and UK, starting with ........

It's nothing strange to see a Swede texting while driving, or even talking on their phone. And do you know why? Because it's perfectly legal.
 
And i'm writing this blog while watching "Road wars" where it´s obviously not legal in the UK.

Did you know the reason why penguins cannot fly?

Penguins cannot fly because they are such good swimmers - and no bird can excel at both.

They started to fly through the ocean instead of the air as they developed wing-propelled diving skills that allowed them to forage for food at increasing depths.

No, its not my new telephone! It belongs to someone else.

Just came across it in the cellar when I was digging around for winter stuff (its now very much winter in Sweden)

It actually starred in a famous home movie, or should we say "lekstugan" movie!

Not available in any retail outlets or you tube, but soon to be screened again in this house on christmas day, as it is most years.

The almost universal appeal of roast chicken stems from its power to comfort. The ideal roast chicken -- golden brown (and a few darker spots) and gleaming, tender and juicy -- engages each sense. The crackle of chicken as it cooks and the wondrous aroma that perfumes the kitchen provoke a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Due to trade secret regulations I can't divulge my secrets in cooking the perfect roast chicken.

The reason why.....

My Nokia phone is on its last legs, thought I would get a few more years out of it until the last fall on the floor nearly decapitated it. So its a smart phone for me a Samsung (from work) or a 2nd hand Iphone (member of the family's is going to up-grade) Its going to happen very very soon, who says I don't move with the times!

I know I will be myself, so on this blogg expect lots of tips on DIY, recipes for my latest kitchen creations, fashion tips, my insight on the latest car models on the market, latest music reviews, keep fit and healthy excercise hints, the latest technical gadget you must have, show bizz gosip, deep thought conversational thinking on the latest world view being the fundamental cognitive orientation of an individual or society encompassing the entirety of the individual or society's knowledge and point-of-view, including natural philosophy; fundamental, existential, and normative postulates; or themes, values, emotions, and ethics.
 
And anything else I can think of.
